We are looking for an organized individual who is experienced in handling a wide range of administrative duties independently, and is willing to jump in, without hesitation, where needed. If you don’t mind following up with a congregant about a question, running deposits to the bank, arranging a time with the plumber who is coming to fix a leak, welcoming a newcomer into the building, and sending out an email to the congregation about an upcoming event, all in the same afternoon - we look forward to reviewing your application.

This job is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. You do not need to be Jewish to apply, but you must be ready to learn about our customs, holidays, and life-cycle events.

  • Our Office Manager is the first person people see when they walk into our building, and we count on them to be a welcoming presence for congregants and visitors alike. The office manager handles the bulk of the communication that comes through the synagogue, including answering the phone, responding to emails, and opening the mail. The office manager assembles and sends out weekly announcements and the monthly bulletin, and works with synagogue committees to coordinate events within the building. Day-to-day responsibilities include a mix of routine tasks and things that come up and need addressing in the moment.

    • Experience with QuickBooks & Canva are a benefit

    • Ability to learn synagogue specific software

    • Familiarity with, or a willingness to learn about Jewish lifecycle, holidays, and synagogue life

  • Two weeks of paid time off in addition to designated Jewish holidays
